Terns were very common at several locations we visited. It was nesting season so we were careful not interfere with their nesting and feeding of their young. Even before leaving Reykjavik we found these terns not far from the city.

The Atlantic Puffin, Fratercula arcticais, a seabird in the Auk family. We visited several colonies in Iceland during our visit. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't always cooperative, but it is always interesting to watch puffins and I was able to get some photos I like.

The Icelandic horse is the only breed of horse in Iceland. They are exported to other countries but never allowed to return to protect the population from disease. Common in many areas we visited but only had a couple of brief opportunities to photograph them.

The Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon is dotted with icebergs from the surrounding Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier, part of larger Vatnajökull Glacier. The Glacier Lagoon flows through a short waterway into the Atlantic Ocean, leaving chunks of ice on a black sand beach.

The rugged coastline and many waterfalls make Iceland a photographer's dream. I plan to update locations as I have time.
