The Booted Racket-tail (Ocreatus underwoodii) is a beautiful little hummingbird. The male has a long branched tail with an extended "racket" on the end of each branch. The female lacks the long tail and "rackets".

This beautiful and acrobatic hummingbird was photographed on the east slopes of the Andes in NW Ecuador.
